Although pacifiers are very useful for soothing baby, unfortunately they can have some negative long-term effects on baby’s oral health:

– Pacifiers can change the shape of the mouth with prolonged use.

– Your child’s teeth can also be affected, with pacifiers causing crooked and crowded teeth meaning orthodontic work might be needed in the future.

– Your dentist will recommend that baby is weaned off their pacifier from 6 months of age.
