Meet The Team
Danny De Villiers
Dr de Villiers has acquired an excellent reputation as a general dentist and an expert in functional orthodontics. Danny qualified at the University of Pretoria in 1981.
After completing 2 years National Service as a dentist in a township hospital, he set up his own private practice, gaining vast experience in all aspects of general dentistry. He also undertook voluntary work during this period.
Danny’s interest in Functional Orthodontics started back in 1986, after his first child was born. He realised that she would benefit from early Functional (non-extraction) Orthodontics. Since then, he has remained very passionate about his commitment to furthering his skills and has undergone extensive training both nationally and internationally.
In determining to master the subject, Danny initially embarked on a series of courses by the Clinical Foundation of Orthopaedics and Orthodontics. Consequently he has achieved expert competency in this field, working with children and adults. Danny continues to attend courses regularly to maintain his expertise in General Dentistry, Orthopaedics & Orthodontics and Jaw Joint Dysfunction (TMD).
After emigrating to the UK in 1992, he has worked in Private and NHS Dental care as an Associate and running his own successful private general practices.
It is my aim to make sure that all my patients receive an excellent service and attain outstanding treatment results. It is especially rewarding to hear my dentistry recommended to friends and family of patients I have already treated.
I don’t just drill and fill, I treat the whole person, creating beautiful smiles and faces, healthy teeth and gums and ultimately making a real difference to people’s lives.
Outside the world of dentistry, Danny loves riding his motorbike, watching South Africa play rugby and regularly visits the gym.
